Pretty central hotel, the rooms are nice like in the pictures, the breakfast is cooked on the spot by the staff. Not all of the staff can speak English but they can more or less understand. Some things in the room looked pretty dated.

The Hotel is located where we wanted to be on the remaining days of our trip. Train station is just around the block and lot of restaurant options nearby. It would take you 15-20 mins walk going to the Hoan Kiem Lake but the stores along the way might drag you and take it longer than usual especially if you pass by the night market. The staff were nice and very helpfull. We planned to booked for Halong Bay Cruise and Ninh Binh Tour on the duration of our stay and they booked it for us on a good price. The cheapest we got compared to others on the same tour (different agencies, different prices but same tour). They even arranged a car for us going to the airport (a little bit cheaper than Grab). The dining area was small but it gave us oppurtunity to talk with other guests of the hotel during breakfast and share stories of our trips around Hanoi.

I booked via agoda with coupon applied, it saved alot for this nice hotel. The reception try everything to please us, help us to find out many interesting place in Ha noi. Room is clean and nice, air con work well but I think with that temperature of Hanoi of april, you might don't need it :d

We stayed in Bel Ami for 3 nights. The staff are friendly and helped bring my luggage to the room. The room is similar to the ones in the picture and pretty spacious. Bed and pillows are quite comfy. Strange thing is the place to hang our coats/towels is soooo high, I wonder how short people reach it. The aircond was pretty warm and the ceiling in the toilet was leaking. It leaked onto our towels and also made the floor wet. But either than these 2 issues, we had no other problems with the hotel.

The rooms and the photos did not match. The rooms were simple and nothing else. Only 2 rooms on each floor. The room that was facing inward, had the window sealed up with a wooden plank. Every lock on every door in this hotel was badly installed. We thought we had a room where the lock was faulty and asked to change room, but apparently almost all the room doors were the same. The "wardrobe" was just but a space hanging so high above the table, it's practically useless. There was a small kitchen on the ground floor that was very dirty and messy. The staff cooking the breakfast was like a boy who had just woken up and cooking in his sleeping clothes. I really didn't feel comfortable eating in there. The reception area was a very messy and dirty as well, it gave me a very bad impression of the whole place. Overall, i felt like i was putting up in someone's home rather than a hotel. It's not the first time i'm staying in a budget hotel, but i feel that this place can be made cleaner and more comfortable for its guests to stay. I hope the owner can realise this and do something about it.
